Campaign Events

PLEASE NOTE: due to the very nature of any political campaign, events can arise in a moment - or be cancelled at the last minute by forces beyond the control of our campaign.  It's therefore extremely difficult to keep our campaign calendar up to date and timely.  We ask for your patience and understanding.

UFor the past several months, Les has been traveling through the district speaking to small groups and at large events.  There have been many requests for speeches, Q & A sessions or attendance at campaign fundraisers for the Marsden Campaign.   The calendar has been extremely full and we advise planning/requesting an event with Les now rather than later.  The primary will be here very soon and in order to best honor your date request, please do not wait.

To host an event, please contact Marsden For Congress Campaign Manager Frank Ploof at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or Les Marsden at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

UPCOMING EVENTS (Partial Listing):

Between now and Election Day - I will be doing everything possible to help get out the vote.  And if you're doing the same, and there's anything I can do to help YOU help ME: e-mail me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Tuesday, June 8 - PRIMARY ELECTION DAY - You are cordially invited to our great Election Night Victory Celebration right in the center of this District - in Mariposa.  We've rented the Sixth Street Cinema for the evening of Tuesday, June 8 and will enjoy celebrating the outcome of the past 18 months of work.  We'll have complimentary desserts and coffee (and more), but best of all will be the company of the many of you who have worked so hard for this campaign.  Come enjoy the evening - beginning at 7:00 PM and featuring live webcasting of the election returns as they're posted, following the closing of the polls at 8:00.

The Sixth Street Cinema is easy to find; driving into Mariposa from the south, 140 and 49 converge at the south end of town - Sixth Street is the third or so cross-street; turn right.  The theatre is in the Old Masonic Lodge, now under historic preservation/restoration.  Coming from the north (again, the convergence of 140/49) as you head south through town, you'll turn left onto Sixth Street.  The theatre is directly behind Savoury's, a truly superb local restaurant.  You really can't miss any of this - Mariposa is conveniently small.  Heather Bernikoff is graciously planning the evening, assisted by husband David Raboy....if you have any questions, suggestions or help to give to Heather, please contact her at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. (Please note that the campaign is RENTING the facility for that evening and that the Sixth Street Cinema/Rural Media Arts and Education Project (a 501(c)(3) corporation) is in no way participating, sponsoring or endorsing any political activity.)
