Health Care

This won’t be popular with the special interest gang, but the only way to bring Healthcare within affordable reach of every single American is to eliminate the gatekeeper.  American medical care must be simplified so that the only parties making decisions about your care are you and your doctor.   Period.  The health insurance industry all too often adds no service to health care but instead takes a huge cut anyway – and at worse, has the power to refuse or delay life-saving or otherwise critically needed care.  For that, they demand their share of dollars from your pocket while providing nothing, and thus inflate the cost of American healthcare for everyone.  I favor a system modeled on Medicare – made available to every American man, woman and child.  I myself (since becoming disabled in 1999) have received my medical care from Medicare.  It’s one of our nation’s most efficient and effective programs, and in fact: my personal experience has been exemplary.  The loudest opposition to nationalized health care comes from those who’ve never experienced its efficiency and great effective care.  The health care ‘industry’ is terrified of the fact that a nationalized system creates (in effect) a huge pool of covered recipients, and the power in those numbers drives prices down to a reasonable and manageable level.  Which is why they’re so opposed to losing their power to charge (literally) an arm and a leg while denying care to you.  And all the while, expecting you to serve them, hand and foot.   Medical care must be seen for what it is: a basic human right.  It’s not a commodity to be manipulated by the greedy for personal gain.
